Safety Coordinator – Dawson Mine

As the Safety Coordinator reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of safety management systems to engage and support our people. In this Monday to Friday role, you will provide advice and support to senior leaders to assist them in identifying and addressing safety related issues while actively monitoring the sites progress towards zero harm.

With your extensive professional knowledge and highly developed interpersonal skills you will be able to guide, mentor and influence to ensure that Anglo American is at the forefront of industry performance in Safety. Ideally you will come from within the Australian mining and resources sector (preferably with exposure to coal mining), with a solid operational and procedures background being highly regarded. Recognised qualifications in Safety and Health Management are essential.

You will be passionate about motivating and engaging others as you lead and support the application of safety systems across our operation. Your drive for results will be essential to your success in this role.
