Senior Mining Engineer (Technical Services Coordinator – Short Term Planning) – Foxleigh Mine

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will work with a multi disciplinary team of Mining Professionals to develop and deliver short term mining strategies and mine plans incorporating Excavator and Drill and Blast design and scheduling. You will act as a technical advisor on mine planning and be responsible for delivering technical advice on how to maximize the value of the resource, contributing to the development and implementation of the annual and five year plan. Your experience and understanding of coal geology, structural geology and coal quality in the area of Mine Planning / Design  as well as your knowledge in Minex and XPAC mine scheduling software will allow you to deliver achievable and efficient short term mine plans for the site.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in Mining Engineering, have a strong understanding of open cut mining processes (preferably coal) and the ability to develop and implement mine schedules and plans for the operation. You will be committed to safety, prepared to deliver innovative ideas and have demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to drive performance in your team.
