Anglo American's Metallurgical Coal business, Moranbah Site Construction Manager [Fixed Term contract] Anglo American's Metallurgical Coal business is one of Australia's largest producers and exporters of metallurgical coal, with extensive coal mining interests in Queensland and New South Wales, as well as the Trend metallurgical coal mine in British Columbia, Canada. As part of Anglo American, we are helping build the leading global mining company. Our Moranbah mine is undertaking a rail relocation and coal seam gas infrastructure relocation project, with a capex in the vicinity of $100million and we are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee this project on site. You will develop a Construction Management Plan and from there, review and verify all construction activities.. Safety management is a key component of this role and it will be your responsibility to drive the safety standards of the project. Whilst the majority of your time will be on site, you will also spend time in the Brisbane office, providing input to the feasibility studies required. This role is fixed term and valid for the duration of the Rail Relocation Project only [ approx end date end 2014]. You will have considerable experience with all aspects of construction management and demonstrated knowledge of mining and related operations environments. Your prior experience with civil infrastructure projects will be essential to success in this role. We will be engaging the services of EPCM contractors to construct the rail line and your level of experience managing a similar environment will be well considered, We are specifically looking for someone with owners, as opposed to EPCM experience.
